you need to "short-curtuit" e.g. connect two pins on the rs-232, forget which ones (TX and RX?), search the forum here. This way the BS2 thinks it got feedback from the Panel. Did it myself when I used to have a BS2 and connected a VGA monitor for setup... Best regards Ralf

Maybe your Avant has the (sometimes optional) STB-C - Set Top Box Controller? Then you could use a cable (IR) from the output on the back of the Avant to the "input" (recieving area/spot) on the Apple TV and hide the Apple TV behind the Avant! Or you are looking for this: This can be put on top of the Avant. Ralf

No I did not... I thought about getting some alu profiles cut to length and make a frame, but since I changed to a pioneer kuro, the display is now in the kids room (for the Wii), BS2 sold, I will not follow this idea. I used to have a "fake" BV 4-42.... BS 2 (HD ready) + TH-42PW6 (not HD!), easy to do the changes the service menu of the display, autocontrast via IR eye...
