TripEnglish: IThe BeoVision 9 looks like it was stung by a bee. It's ridiculously large for being a "flat panel" television. Think back a decade ago when the Avant was crafted to hide its girth and appear as a picture on a wall before that was a reality. The BeoVision 9, with its rolled frame and big rear end look as though Mr. Lewis was

Yes that was it: thank you for another bit of a very interesting story behind the BL5s, Dave.

Dave Moulton: The speakers that David Lewis got were the first B&O prototypes that combined the acoustic lenses with Adaptive Bass Control. They were the Truly Ugly Monstrosities! But they sure did the job! I'm aware that it perhaps might not be that easy to get a (quick) answer, but it would be interesting to hear how the above mentioned prototype

I both disagree and agree, thinking you are mixing - a bit - two (or three) things together, namely availability of money and desirability (and exclusivity). Bingo: I think B&O wanted to be too exclusive the last years ... They did in the way that not many people could afford it anymore. ...... So come on Struer, go back to realistic prices and

Ok, Andy (the gun is safely back at the drawer of my bedside table)

Thanks, Puncher! Maybe I went a bit overboard?! (I came to think if it's not because both of my parents were teachers ... )
