BL5 and BL3 sound different, especially in bass reproduction - we all know this. So the intention should be to build a setup with matching speakers. If you have BL5s in front, get BL9 or BL3 with BL2 for rear channels. Or again BL5 for rear.
using your idea for balanced performance, and assuming there are budget

it is unfortunate that my iPad1 (and so maybe an iPod) can only output to itself or to the ATV2 however I can use my iPad to control iTunes on my Mac and use its multiple speakers capability so my Mac outputs via cables analogue to linkrooms and via airplay digital to the ATV2 this means I can either have my BV8 in N-MUSIC mode (it picks up the masterlink
OK - all is well - while searching for the two fuses (not that hard) I found a nick in the power cord. Repaired it and all is well. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL B&O members!!!!!!!!
That is great news ! Now you can christen the kit by playing Christmas carols :))
Pardon my ignorance please - I am new. I just plug it in and there is no clicking of relays and I have left it plugged in for hours now and no warmth or heat from the back. If there is a POWER SWITCH, it is well hidden. "IS" there a seperate / distinct power switch? Regards and thanks!! Ken
Hi Ken

Merry Christmas Happy Holidays (if you are having any) Best Wishes for the New Year Here is how Aussies were celebrating yesterday's office break-up (those are NOT rain umbrellas )

I think it all depends on how the STB is connected. Are you using the RF device from B&O to get your link room support ? So free to air works with the Beovision in standby mode ? As in the old analogue TV as well as any new digital free to air ? But the STB does not ? How is the STB connected to the Beovision ?
you will need the book shelf to hide the BS3
we need a slim line BS4 or one with shiny covers as an option ! I wish B&O would apply the multi-cover and/or multi-colour options to more of their product lines
