Having gone through a similar process my vote goes with the BM3400 and the BG6000, its the combination I use. The BG6000 is a great sounding deck in Quad mode or Stereo. I had a similar problem. You could start with checking the cabling and possibly the power connection. Try one speaker at a time to isolate. My fix was the replacement of the powerlink cable. Good luck, beoaus.

The Foxtel HD service will be an improvement even on Standard Television. stefan: If your BS 9000 MKII has the N.MUSIC upgrade everything should work. PHONO, N.MUSIC, A.AUX are not the same commandes. PHONO changed to N.RADIO, TAPE 2 to N.MUSIC and SHIFT RADIO to A.AUX. So there might be a conflict between PHONO and N.RADIO. But if I remember correctly you can`t control the BG 4500 via BS 9000, because there is no datalink
