  • Re: BeoLab 4/PC differences

Stevnp: 1. I changed my BL 4000 from Gold to Blue alu. ( not an easy job ) and substituted the BL 4000 with a pair of BL 4 during the work. This is the BL 4 full model, not the PC., although I have the B&O RCA to DIN powerlink cables. The pair were connected via standard powerlink to our BeoSound 3200. The sound difference was noticed: Automatically

  • Re: BeoLab 4/PC differences

Stevenp; To get back to your original question, there is no loss in quality between a mini-jack PC connection versus the Powerlink BL 4 Full connection. You are creating more connection points with the mini-jack PC, but if a quick set-up for laptop or Beosound 6 is desired, it works well enough. That was the intention. The above comments regarding the

  • Re: Most Best Jacob Jensen Design Ever??

The Beomaster 1900 in Teak. Still works perfectly, still looks minimally beautiful, and still in love with it.

  • Re: New B&O Sounds System

Sal makes an excellent point about testing prospective speakers you may purchase with CD music you know and are familiar with. This applies to music or video systems as well. If you do test the speakers, do it in the morning if you can, when the store opens. And make sure the other speakers, etc. are off nearby. Take your time, and don't be in a

  • Re: New Flat - masterlink + lights + blinds

Congratulations on your new London flat. And a very good idea to think ahead, out of the box, as to what is coming in electronics and audio visual sources. Having tried both wireles and wired systems, I remain with wired. Too much electronics ( phone, PC, keyboard, mouse, speakers, etc. ) and you can create field problems which interfere with each other

  • Re: UK to phase out FM radio by 2015

Thank you JohnBarker for the BBC link. An interesting read, especially on the planned sources of financing. Having just completed another BeoSound 1 jumper conversion from 110V back to 240v for a new B&O enthusiast last night, I'll gladly accept any BeoSound 1, 3, or 3200 units any UK member wants to donate to a good home.

  • Re: Carry case for Beosound 3?

Update: 16. June. 2009 Our BS 3 finally took a tumble, and yes the resultant scratches on the edge appear to be permanent. Car ? Picnic ? Terrace ? Beach ? Kayaking-Kite boarding ? Mountain climbing ? No. None of the above. It was sitting inside, minding it's own business during the New Zealand / Spain Fifa Soccer match, when wild fan waved his

  • Re: Beolab 3, 4 or 6000 with Beosound 4

I have both the Beo Lab 4000, and the full (non PC) Beo Lab 4. Both are nice to look at, both are amplified, but subjectively the sound is superior with the BL 4000, having more bass, and it seems a tad more treble. There are other feature differences too, of course. The BL 4 is multi-region 110-240 v power, multi-positioned, PC mini-jack and MP3 capable
