Today I reconnected my great beocenter 9500 which has been out of use for quite some time now. Had great fun hooking it up to my Mac Mini (to the Aux port) and my lovely beolab 4500. Ironic indeed! But on the other hand: I also hesitate for quite some time now to buy a used avant 32 RF DVD to replace my current avant 28 100 Hz VTR. But I have bought demo versions of BL1, BL2 and BL4000 without any hesitation! Somehow it feels like buying to old technology even though your eyes tell you that the picture of all LCD/plasma tv's

We are reshuffling our bedrooms which makes me reconsider our masterlink setup. We use a beolink passive in our bathroom and a beolink passive in our bedroom (all connected to the avant and BS9000 in our living). I know this has been asked before, but I just want to make sure I do not do anything stupid: - Can the beolink passive also be used for active speakers (the connection is there, but if I remember correctly this does not seem to function)? I am pretty sure this is the case, but a confirmation would be nice. - I thought the beolink inpunt of the beolink

Hi, This topic has been debated several times on beoworld and can spark a lot of different opinions. I think the BL1 is far superior to the BL8000 sound-wise. The only drawback of the BL1 is that you might expect a better performance in the low end, but this is not perfect (but much better compared to the BL8000). Adding a BL2 solves this and makes
