Of course it bears repeating that MOTS does not actually read tags like iTunes, Amazon, etc., but actually examines the characteristics of each file. That's why it can take about 1 day per 10GB to process through the content.
That explains a lot. After initially setting up the BS5 - with 250Gb of data

I think people are looking into this in a too absolutists point of view. MOT’s is a useful feature but it is not the be-all and end-all of the product. I like to listen to an albums cover to cover. I like albums to be listed as albums in a digital medium. I want a virtual CD and I’m not interested in downloading one or two songs from an
Do I have the opportunity to drag&drop my audiofiles via Apple Finder or Windows Explorer from my computer to the beomaster 5? I think this would take less time than the synchronisation between software on the computer and on the beomaster 5!?
There are two ways I can see this can be done. I may get the terminology

Steph, I would not use Beoplayer for anything except removing embeded photos and syncronising with the BM5. It is not functional enough IMO to be quick. The ripping takes X3 than WMP10. WMP10 has both lossless ripping, the ability to bulk label albums and advance tag editing. Beoplay has none of these functions. WMP11 I beleive also does not have advanced

TWG. There is a sound difference between the BS5 and my DVD tray in the BV7-40 (~BC2 DVD/CD). I am still trying to listen to the differences but have had limited time tonight. I'm am still trying to evaluate whether I like the difference no matter how subtle it may be different. Second, there is definately a difference in sound pressure for the

BeoSound 5. – The Wait. The unit was delivered in the first week of February following a pre-order date of mid-December. The long delay – not one of B&O’s greatest strategies I must say (for those who can’t wait for Xmas/tooth fairy etc..) allowed me to make a good deal of preparation prior to delivery:- First, I had installed

Thanks Ingvar, However, I am up and running. A few issues with the numerous B&O idiosyncricities but all appear to be overcome. I'm busy loading-up my music and it's bedtime here so I'll leave it run over-night. Thanks again. 10%

Well I'm up and running too. Picked my BS5 up from my dealer this evening and opted to have a go myself at setting it up. Just about there with the set-up and I'll post a review once I've got it liked. I'm just backing up the 22Gb of tracks that are pre-installed before deleting them and putting my own stuff off. In summary, quite tricky

Just as a stupid thought..... Could one simply install a Powerlink Y-Splitter, and connect the Centre Channel powerlink to the splitter, then onto the second powerlink input on a pair of BL5's? The dual signals (assuming no clasing of signals) would be mixed in the BL5's powerlink board before going to the DSP. The Beovision would still do the
