That is to some extent what I figured. At least for the US, I think their marketing is off base. They should put more emphasize on the installations they have done. If you walk by a store all you see is expensive products in the window, unless you walk in and unless there is a proper Beoliving installation. For example, when they have a BV7 running

Can you spill the beans trip? Who buys the beoliving installations? I know I will at some point invest in that in a couple of years - I do want a small TV with that though.

It is, that is for example why we do not get small TVs here. I personally have the strong feeling that the Beo-living was and will remain crucial to the brand. I also think, that given the speed of innovation "rebadging" done right is their way out and I would expect Samsung or someone like that to pick up the brand. That would just make perfect

I would strongly recommend a home demo before you buy. When I connected my BL3s direct to my BV8 rather then to my BC2 I noticed a huge difference in sound when playing CDs. in fact I am not using my BL3s anymore for watching TV. Giving the amount of money you are about to drop, I ask the dealer about it. Cheers JK

The setup is known to be tricky, I think you need to contact your dealer. Some here managed to do it on their own though but it seems to be pain. There is a dedicated forum for the BS5 / BM5, for user password you probably have to contact your dealer. http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/53.aspx Good luck JK

>> integration will be better served by companies like Logitech that master the one and a half year product lifespan<< The idea behind the apple ipod connector was that it would stay fairly constant to allow for example integration into cars. The phone, I admit changed that a bit since new functions were required, i.e. to deal with calls

I would have probably jumped onto the boxee box but it doesn't mention Netflix which is in the US one of the bigger content sources. I rather drop the money on a max mini and get Beo 4 control and netflix to boot. Lots of interesting stuff but nothing that makes me want to ditch my Apple TV hacked with Boxee. Holding my breath for the Apple Tablet

I am not sure about the MK1 and MK2 but as a general rule I believe one can permanently turn the pin protection off.

Hi, I have the US BV 8 32. Only thing you will have to watch out for is the number of HDMI ports, it just has 1. If you plan on running many up to date HD devices that may not be sufficient. For me, I have only Apple TV and a Wii it is OK. @ Elephant. I noticed what you describe with the BL3 as well. In fact, on my set there is a significant difference

Hi, i am using an Air and an Imac and have been on Macs for some years now. I would not use an Air as a main computer - specs may look fine but for processor intensive tasks like movie or picture editing it is just not built. I am on a 1st gen Air, it can handle internet movie streams, however it gets so hot that "thermal management" kicks
