The tube in the AV9000 is the same as that fitted to the MX6000 so replacement is not a problem given the number of cheap MX6000's on the secondhand market. I understand that nobby has done this repair with complete success.

Your dealer is able to order the tweeter for you. The current cost in the UK is around £30 I would encourage you to have the job done by your service department as the kit includes components to modify the protection circuit in the amplifier. The job should not take long and I estimate a total cost in the region of £150

Peter: And as a Technical Adviser, your words are always worth listening to! Though I do suspect Puncher, Chris and you are setting up the Beoworld Grumpy Old Men Society! Never!!! Have you been talking to my wife.

My suspicion is that the product has been released to the market in a somewhat unseemly panic, especially the configuration software. B&O simply could not afford to release bug infested software to the general public and have sensibly restricted it to dealer use only. There may also be good commercial reasons for such a restriction into the future

Puncher: Medogsfat: Well those of you who know me also know my lack of excitement when it comes to mobile phones. It's a phone - it enables you to make phone calls and take pictures of drunken celebraties to sell to the newspapers. Why all the ooh aah over something that will very shortly be out of favour with the "must have" merchants

I have deliberately stayed out of this discussion so far but I can't bite my tongue any longer. The guys who are desparate for the configuration software just want to play with it. You can come up with all the excuses like reorganising your system from time to time and multiple trips to dealer etc etc but they are all "bullshit". Be honest

Simple job with some Mk2 powerlink cables. Should be no problem.

I can't help thinking that this dealer has opened a can of worms by providing the config software. I wonder what reaction Struer will have when they find out? The number of quality control checks that need to be done is far greater for a product that is provided to the public compared to one designed for in house.

Common fault with the "dot" button apparently. One of mine went the same way. Your dealer can get a complete front panel for around £15 which cured my problem.

The TV doesn't know or care what your tastes in viewing are so this must be a fault with the Sky box?
