wtlc2zpx: Yes, It is going to be hard to find anything to moan about this TV. Even better....the price in the UK doesn't change! I wonder, if someone bought a BV7-40 in, say, August, how peeved they are going to be when they see the same TV, for the same price, with a much higher spec, weeks later? I didn't ask if the UK price includes the DVB

There is definitely no dress code in the UK stores (well, none of the stores I've visited), although the sales people always wear suits. I don't particular care what they believe, based on how I dress. There is an upmarket jewellers in the centre of Bath who do look down at you when you walk in in jeans - buy something though, and they quickly

No, it doesn't...but for me that's not an issue (at the moment) as I have Sky HD. It's slightly criminal releasing a new 2007-model TV that doesn't ship with a DVB-T module. Spoke to my dealer since posting the above question and he stated that they've only sold 1 (!) BV8-32 since it was released. No wonder there are few replies

David: Apparently it is priced at GBP 2500. That's what it is here i think. I really love the design of the BV8, and imho it would look beautiful with BL4000's on their stands and a PV1, i don't think the BL3's would look very nice with the set. I imagine BL9 would look absolutely FIERCE with a BV8-32! That's my thought. Essentially

I've not seen much discussion on the BV8-32, although it's now available to order. Does anyone actually own a BV8-32 and are they pleased with the performance? Also, what's the retail price on the BV8-32 in the UK? I know the BV8-26 is around £2150 inc the stand. I'm wondering if it might be better to upgrade to a BV8-32 from my

mbee: I was hoping that the Bs5 will allow to store & play videos... In fairness, this is possible with the forthcoming 802.11n standard. There's no reason that this couldn't be a controller and AV management box that processed and stored the incoming AV content and then enabled you to distribute through your house. However....I could simply

quattro: You can choose the 7.1 speaker with the BV7-40!!. I will switch from the BV7-32mkIII to BV7-40mkIII. Yes, I *know* you can use the 7.1 with the BV7-40, but the size of the TV is much larger....which was my point. 20cm wider, 10cm higher etc. Factor in the 7.2 which is designed for the 7-40 and it's a fair bit bigger.

The lack of a BV7-32 udpate (for now) isn't good news, I agree. Either they will have to drop the model or update it sooner rather than later. You can't have a BV8-32 with HDMI socket and 'old' BV7-32 with a DVI-only socket. Also, I'm assuming the BV8-32 screen is probably of a higher spec than that of the current BV7-32, as the

TerryM: unfortunately, the 32" will neither be getting the BS3 chassis, nor a 1080p panel. Oh-oh, that wasn't the news I (or we) were waiting for. I'll have to upgrade to the BV7-40 now. It's a little large for my apartment though!
-
Terry....but any news from your dealer on the 32" revision (if there will be a revision)? In some ways, I'd rather have a BS3 based BV7-32, without a 'full HD' panel.
