Surprisingly, a lot of Beovox C75 are still fine but check and make sure the price is set according to the actual condition. Martin

The C range is from the 70's, as is the Beovox 1100. - And the P range. None of these are really rare, they all come up for sale occasionally. The P30 and P45 are nice speakers and both are well-sounding if wall mounted. The harder the wall the better. The P45, I think, is particularly good. Balanced sound, just plain pleasant to listen to but physically

I actually like the 1700/1702 better than any of the C/CX. Maybe not as linear and all that but not as sterile in my ears, considerably more pleasant to listen to and that's what counts for me. No foam rot in the 1700/1702 either due to the use of rubber surrounds. Something like Beovox 1100 also springs to mind as even better and not that much

Yes, the frequency readout showing 74,8 is a common problem in the Beomaster 6000. The prescaler IC inside the processor module has died. That IC is long out of production but I still have a few NOS (New Old Stock) IC's. Soldering and basic electronic skills and tools are required to fix it. Martin

New ideas ? - Show me another bedside clock looking like this. .. should be solar powered - In a bedroom ? You are entitled to have your opinion on the design and you are free to buy something else if you don't like it. I'm curious so please do let us know what you choose. I actually like the new Beotime. Clearly not a design you will find anywhere

Not a stupid question at all. The spider is the flexible inner support, often yellow'ish in color. There are different ways of building speaker drivers but generally it sits behind the main cone, supporting the outermost edge of the coil (and usually the innermost edge of the cone which meet there) to the chassis (basket), making sure the coil

An NTC resistor changes its value according to the temperature. NTC stands for Negative Temperature Coefficient, meaning that the ohmic value will decrease with higher temperature. (PTC resistors also exists, working the opposite way = Positive ...) Before measuring NTC/PTC resistors, you will have to make sure that they are at the same temperature

The P30 hasn't got the same problem, instead the spider tends to work lose. That's a fairly easy fix though, by applying speaker cement around the edge of the spider. I have done this to all woofers of that type that have passed by here and also to the one you bought from me. Martin

A Beocenter 9000 maybe. Martin

Welcome to Beoworld ! I am not aware of any Beomaster 9000. When it arrives, do let us know what you bought. Martin
