soundproof: Peter: Beolab 9s? Squatter but better sound and probably more child friendly. "Daddy? Can the penguins sleep in my room tonight?" Choosing between the BL 8000's and BL 3's is hard. Personally I would favour BL 8000's, but I think Peter has a good point with the BL 9's. They are better than the 8000's and 3's

I didn't think about the red lights. I have nothing against them, but they probably won't go well with the green. In my opinion the red lights work well with black, white or aluminium.

Hi David, I was faced with the same issue a few years ago. Here are my thoughts. The Century is only 11 centimeters deep, which is a real advantage in a small room. Personally I think it doesn't look as nice as a Beosound 1. The Century is mainly plastic, with a bit of glas and 4 pieces of cloth to hide the speakers. Later versions had the aluminium

Oh, I just love this! It's a suggestion of green rather than a rich green, which makes it easier to fit in my interior. Have to see in daylight to make a final judgement, but it will probably be one of my favourite colors.

I am not a fan of gold. But the Beocom 4 looks a lot better than I thought it would. A mat finish would enhance it, I think. But isn't the point of gold that is has a shiny finsih? Anyway, I'd have the original.

Peter: They should have done it without telling them what set they were watching and 90 seconds seems quite short! Peter, you are absolutely right. Besides, since the test is payed by manufacturers I am not so sure if the results are unbiased.

When I first saw a picture of the Beo5 I didn't like it all. I thought the combination of circle and square looked very silly. But having seen it for real it started to grow on me. I actually wanted one. But reading 355f''s post was quite a shock. I am probably going to wait a while...
