I am always willing to be proved wrong but I cannot believe that you can simply upgrade a MX5000 to a MX5500. They are a completely different chassis with the former being a Thompson and the latter a genuine B&O design. To my knowledge, none of the bits are interchangeable. Nobby will know for sure.

Good Morning Keith, Having asked your dealer to program the Beo5 for Saunders Palace, how do you use it? Leave it in one room? Wander around the house with it in your dressing gown pocket? Have multiple Beo5's so there is one in each room? This is a serious question because at the moment, I can't get my head around what are the advantages, other

brunetto77: For the motor stand to work you need to make sure that you connect its cable with the tv switched off for what I remember. Then you turn on the tv and this should recognize the new component. Then press PICTURE on the beolink 1000 and you should see the word [STAND] on the screen apart from Colour, Brightness, Contrast. With < and >

I don't know why the 1000 doesn't work, the theory says that it should. The 1000 also has problems storing the sound/picture config at startup. Strange but I can assure you that I have tried. I have the MX7000 up for sale and have had to put a Beo4 with it instead of a cheapie Link 1000!

Hi Scott, It really is a struggle with the Beo4 software and I suggest that you change the remote. I have a MX7000/Beo4 and I have been trying to operate it with a BL1000 and gave up in the end! The suggestion above does not work with my MX7000 so I doubt if it will with your 4000
