The issue isn't "active or not", in the case of the BL8000's the issue is the level of performance that can be dragged out of a limited volume enclosure, using a pair of small, albeit long-throw, drivers. Certainly being active definitely helps in this case as the bass power to the drivers is considerably boosted to extend the apparent

9 LEE: I would just like to say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our BeoWorld stalwart Peter today! 21 yet again (he never gets any older, he's magic) and is as spritely as a teenager (when he's asleep). We had a lovely meal last night, and he is probably nearing the end of a 370+ mile drive home from Eastbourne via Clitheroe to drop off jandyt - so

My heart-felt thoughts to you and yours. It's a shame that your brother felt unable to join in - anyone and everyone is encouraged to post here! It's a lovely though that his collection should go to some one who will appreciate them as much as he, I hope whoever takes it up appreciates them for what they are and what they represent. I'm

I blame the bottle of Chilean rosé I had lying around OK - as an assignment, please calculate the correlation function that links A/ the probability of correct calculating probability questions to B/ the quantity of Chilean Rosé

tournedos: joeyboygolf: So what are the odds on winning all 10 in one draw!!! Since they apparently are completely independent events, the probability for that is simply 1/550 ^ 12 ~= 1.3e-33, which is 32 zeros after the decimal point, or 0.0000000000000000000000000000000013... or in other words pretty d*mn slim The odds for winning twice in the same

Discounting any effect due to luck, it would seem to be 1 in 2.77287206 × 10 27 ! - there's only jandyt that has much of a chance then!
