If you're using the digital out - then, assuming they're all bit perfect, only the reliability matters!

A B&O radiator cover for a particularly short radiator!

Jandyt: Alex, do you like Beolab 5s? I wouldn't have thought so - he hardly ever mentions them!

Is it a display stand for a BS3000/3200 type unit??

I'm not sure how much of this is strictly correct - a true speaker array is much more of a science that just lumping drivers next to each other. The array can be driven in a way that can dynamically focus a "beam" of sound rather than, would seem likely, scatter it to the four winds. I believe that, correctly driven, they can compensate

Peter : I would go for an 8004 - cheap and the best tape deck made by B&O. The 5500 is limited by the autoreverse. A 9000 is an option but probably not any better than the 8004. Agree if it's a stand alone application but surely the BC5000 would integrate better with his 5500 system?

I wouldn't think so - the BL5 has a digital input, makes extensive use of DSP (incl. calibration procedure) and the Class D amps are, I believe, digital input) - i.e. there's an awful lot of stuff happening to the actual signal in the digital domain. The Class D bass amp of the BL9 is analogue input and functions as a "dumb" amplifier

We could do it on the roadside of the A1, easy for everybody - I can bring a generator (plus there'll be no walls/corners to worry about) Seriously, it would be great if we could organise something (and have a bit of a jolly afterwards)

I take it you have read this speaker shootout - written, by our recent birthday boy, at the time of the release of the BL9. It would be cool to do this again while also plotting the decline in the ability to determine the difference versus the amount of alcohol consumed
