What about this ? And from the same company this . I have no idea if they are any good but I’d like to find out what you think of the design. I saw them just a few seconds ago and I haven’t made up my mind yet. Just like to know what fellow-beoworlders think.

No argument here. Agree with Peter and Simon. I´m glad I´ve kept my 80´s and 90´s equipment. I hope future developments from B&O will bring back the spirit of that era.

The Beonic Man: The iPhone is very impressive, of that there is no doubt. However, I would never buy it on the basis that its a mass market, just as the iPod was and I like to be unique, which is why I buy B&O. Even if B&O don't have a product to compete with an iPhone I still choose to have the exclusivity. That is a reflection of my personality

I had the same problem with my BC2300. My dealer replaced both the door mechanism and CD mechanism. In total he charged me 480 euros (about 320 pounds) if I remember correctly. I have no idea how much the door mechanism would have cost seperately. Hope this is helpful.

Rare find. Thanks for sharing with us!

Beobird: If you put a sub next to them, they can perform well . If you want a really good sound you should take the 8000's + a sub or the 9's. Don't agree here. The Beolab 6000's have reasonable performance, but the Beolab 4000's and Beolab 8000's are superior speakers. Beolab 2 is a bit slow and not that well suited for listening

tom: Many thanks for all those nice words! Chris, I won't have to sell any B&O, because Sabrina likes it very much too. She would not spend her money on it, but she is happy I do, so she can buy clothes and shoes Sounds like a perfect couple to me! Congratulations and the best to both of you!

I am still not sure about the Beo5. I didn't like it all at first, but now I really do. Just not sure about the user interface, so I haven't bought one yet. I agree completely with the slightly off topic Samsung / B&O logo issue. I have no problem with components sourced from other manufacturers, but I like to have a real B&O appearance

Completely in agreement with previous posts. I'd favour B&O. Better sound, better materials and style! Bose has never really impressed me so far.
