Agreed, but this will prevent spammers from posting images in the galleries, and I think that's a MUCH better compromise than having to go through somebody else to post the images. Also, it's unlikely that anybody would want to post pictures of their setup until they've spent a while on BeoWorld anyway...

Almost every pair of X35s I've had have had bad foam rot, but they weren't sorely missed (not after I'd heard a 'fully functioning' pair!). In case anybody was reading this thread and wondering, S25s are not affected by foam rot at all.

As said numerous times, it's all a matter of choice. Where people make mistakes is judging loudness as an improvement too quickly without actually listening properly to the difference in sound. Play something with almost any acoustic instruments, and you will generally find that loudness just 'closes-in' the midrange frequencies, which could be considered

Sorry I didn't mean the 100 hours run-in would affect the radio reception. Nothing more than a light dust every week and a good-cleaning every few months should keep it nice and clean. Use an un-used paintbrush on the grille. As for radio reception, it's merely a case of finding where reception is best if you are in the position I am! I can't get any

Ultimately, the important thing is that it sounds good to you. I honestly don't believe the distortion introduced by the tone controls is a huge issue. Almost all recordings are EQd in one way or another in the studio, and often with nothing more complex than the 3-way tone controls built into most mixing desks.

I actually have the bass turned DOWN on my BS7000 and loudness off, as my B&Ws tend to push out a bit too much bass... I generally try and avoid tone controls though.
