Henry: B&O's automotive partnership will be expanding as of next year to another manufacturer, but will unfortunately not be with VW or Mazda I'm afraid. 985 Euro is a nice price I think. Will this include the ALTs? I am also a bit puzzled that the B&O audio option has been confirmed for the A4, but not the A6 yet. The A6 was too far

Graham1982: I think Audi used to have a contract with Bose - there is a Bose system in my friends TT from a few years back, perhaps they have just swaped one decent manufacturer for another. Audi still has a contract with Bose, but probably not for long. You can get a Bose sound system on the current TT. Even on the A8 the Bose system is still available

Hello Peter, My thoughts on the subject: I have no experience with the wireless system, but hardwired is probably better I would keep the Beosound 2300 and use the Ipod option suggested by ScottMc. Possible future upgrade could be the Beosound 5 that will be on sale next year. Beolab 9's as front speakers and Beolab 3's as rears.

PL212: Yes, if you look hard enough you can find two-way 2300's that have the newer, linear CD mechanism. Best of both worlds! Exactly what I have right now. Works very well!

I have some information about the curved / linear track issue. I am not sure if this is true or not, so any Beoworlder feel free to confirm or correct. On a curved laser track the laser is located / moved by an electromagnetic field. As far as I know this laser unit was sourced from Philips. The linear track laser uses an electronic motor in stead of

You can find information on two way communication here on the Beoworld site.

marcus_m: Henry: Dave: What about the BC2300? Would this be reliable enough? I wouldn't recommend a BeoSound 2300 as I've heard B&O no longer make the laser for this unit anymore. I believe this is why Peter suggested a BeoSound 3000 and 3200. AFAIK the linear laser of the last models is still available (or at least a replacement type).

I discoverd B&O in the 80's. I saw a picture in a magazine of a Beogram 3000 (59xx) and was immediately hooked. I was 11 years old at the time and in the village where I lived was no B&O shop, but I went to a dealer a couple of miles away and saw the products in the flesh for the first time. I knew I just had to have B&O in my life.
