Oops - just noticed the AV9000 and extra Beolab 4000s in the room I am in! And the Beolit 1000. Think I'll stop here!

I think I hit over 100 pieces in my rotation at the height of my insanity! Much less now and quite happy! Items left: BeoCenter 2, Avant DVD, V8000, Pentas, Beolab 4000s (main room), Beolab 3000s, CX50s, LX6000, Beoport , Beolab3s. (main system) Beosystem 5500, Beogram 4004, CX100s (computer system) Beosystem 8000 + MS150s Beosystem 7000 Beolab 5000

You can either get a new Soundsmith one or get you old one repaired. See this thread for details. Your English is fine!

That doesn't look too bad - I think I can see the edge of a celluloid tacho disc so that will be one fairly easy fix. The surround to the platter is easy - doubled sided tape or epoxy. I wonder if you possibly have a stuck button on a remote which could be blocking the arrow key signals. I would take all the remotes out of the room and just use the Beolink 1000. Set

I am going to try out my other system this week end - Beogram 4001, Beomaster 4401 and M100s - I'll do some pictures!

If you have released the transit screws and the platter is able to bounce but is still catching, take the platter off and have a look at the leaf springs. There are three. I attach the instructions - if this is not enough, a surreptitious tweak of the springs upwards to level the deck will probably suffice.

Frede specialises in the restoration of the Beolab 5000 system but does do other items as well. He does do restorations to the highest standard and clearly the cost will reflect this. I suggest you contact him via his site . Martin Olsen is also highly skilled in restoration work and will be someone else to consider. The 4000 is the most complex of
