We would need to know what kind of a remote you have - does it have a MENU button for example? If it doesn't, or if nothing happens when you press it, it is quite probable that either the remote or the TV (or both) is a special hotel version. In that case, it might not be possible to select or do anything else than what the hotel wants you to do

Good read - too bad that the finale diversion into gaga land with breaking in connection cables somewhat spoils it for me

No. And never received the first one either!

There was a lot about this in the local press today. In the '60s and '70s there was a lot of unemployment in Finland after agriculture started to give way in the sparsely populated parts of the country. A lot of Finns emigrated to Sweden to work at both Saab and Volvo and many of them never moved back - now there are a lot of originally Finnish

The frequency display is calculated by the CPU, after a fixed divider circuit drops the oscillator frequency to something the 8032 microcontroller can follow... so nothing to tune. Unless anybody else has better ideas, I'd say the CPU is not running at the same or stable clock frequency anymore. This could happen for example if the 11.0592 MHz crystal

That looks good! The red speaker is a nice touch However, I would move the paintings a little further away... this looks suspiciously as if you just upgraded from a smaller set

I often listen to Radio Paradise . To me, most of the selections are good or at least interesting, and most importantly at least half of it I've never heard before! (minimal talk & no commercials nor jingles doesn't hurt either) And they are not lying about the sound quality. The 128k AAC+ stream is amazing considering the moderate bit rate
