Well at least the 7000 system has a very good chance of working. I have an incurable affliction of buying old Beocord 5000s from the 70s knowing the chances of me ever getting them to work is nil. Even wise words from Martin hasn't seemed to help stop this sad behaviour. Cleve
Cleve, I am aware from previous posts that you have been hunting for some S45 stands... I would have posted to you earlier, but I thought you would have found a pair in the UK by now. I THINK that I MIGHT (need to check just what I have) have a pair or two if you are interested in shipping from the states ...not sure
Best results are achieved if placing them in ear height.
Absolutely right, and my quest for a pair of 6013 pedestal stands continues! I have been looking for a pair for over a year now to do full justice to my beautiful Rosewood S45.2s. Cleve
I know exactly what you mean. I have had one now for about 6 months and love it both as a

Hi, I have been one of many recipients of Peter's generosity - a Beomaster 4400, arguably the best Tuner/Amplifier B&O every produced - and am enjoying it now as I type. If he is offering you a beomaster and a beogram, I suspect they are in Rosewood - I know he is very fond of the beautifully figured veneer B&O used to use. If they are in

The Gramophone used to be the source of review for classical music, highly authoritative with, in most cases, really well written reviews. Their equipment reviews, usually no more than 2 or 3 a month, were undertaken by technically knowledgable music lovers with test equipment, most of whom were very sceptical of some of the 'emperor's new clothes'

Thanks to you both - it seems I was wrong. I don't really want to drill holes in the S45s if I can help it, so I think I might just have to be patient. Cleve
