• Re: age of members

    I am 18, registered here when I was 14. My first B&O was a Beomaster 2400/Beovox S45 with Beovision 7702 when I was 6 or 7 ^^

Hello and welcome to Beoworld! It's sad that you lost one of the greatest B&O systems ever made, though nice that you have found one again. For maintanance, there could be an ageing capacitor problem. As the components are getting older, they might get a bit out of spec and capacitors may be the worst sinners in these great products. With the

  • Re: beomaster 6500

I would actually say that the older Beomaster 4000 would be more reliable today than Beomaster 6500. The convenient design with DataLink on all outputs, Acess to use active BeoLabs and remote controls can cause some problems. They can be solved, but the 4000 has the advantage of being of a simpler design. I like both Beomasters a lot, having the Beomaster

  • Re: Beocord 9000 auto-calibration

Thanks, Paolo! I have two BC9000's, but one of them recently developed the fault that it can not Fast forward (idler wheel, again), therefore it can't complete the calibration process. The Beocord 8004 really is a great machine; it works just like a 9000, but without the CCC, the two-head construction makes it more resistant to wear and it plays

You still need some figures for calibration? I have about 20 different models of tape to try if yes!
