• Re: what system ?

Hi Gaz Welcome to BeoWorld. I suggest a trip to your nearest B&O dealer, have a good look round, read through the brochure, check out some threads here on BeoWorld and if you buy new, take up the option of a free home demonstration before you agree to buy. It's not so easy if you are buying second hand. There are deals to be had from dealers

  • Re: Beocom 4 No contact with base

Hi I've just read your post and the previous one and notice that both were private sales. It occured to me that the BeoCom4 is sold as a matched pair of base and handset. It may be possible that your handset and base were not registered as a pair in the factory. Just a thought but if thats the case you may be looking for a fault that doesn't

  • Re: earset 3

If it's an original and if you have very good eyesight and/or a magnifying glass, there will be an eight digit serial number sticker underneath the earpiece. Although if it is original and the sticker has been removed you are back to square one. However it is so tiny I bet most people don't even know it's there. Until now! Opman

  • Re: Beotime Review
When are these going to be available to buy & how much are they gonna cost please?
The price at the Liverpool store is £300. They are already taking deposits and expect stock to start arriving early October. If you want one, better get an order in soon as stock will not be freely available at launch

  • Re: Connecting Avant, Beomaster 4500, and Penta 1's

Hi I'm assuming that as your Pentas don't have a Powerlink socket they are BeoVox Penta which is a passive speaker as opposed to BeoLab Penta which is active. The BeoVox Penta can't be connected directly to the surround board of an Avant as there would be no amp to drive them. You could however use an ML/MCL convertor to connect them to

  • Re: BS9000 remote control problem

Hi The software in the BeoSound9000 automatically sets to option 0 (no IR commands) if there is no powerlink connection. If you want to use BeoSound 9000 by remote without a powerlink connection you cannot simply option proramme it to option 1 or option2, as it will not be accepted. The easy solution is to plug in a powerlink cable having cut the cable

  • Re: Beolab 4000 Vertical Placement

Hi I have BeoLab4000 speakers on a table base and the power button is at the bottom. In the current main catalogue they are shown on page 45 with the power button at the bottom. If you remove the fabric grill, the serial number sticker is the right way. I have never tried inverting them to see if it makes a difference. Somebody may say the at having

  • Re: installation

Hi Voltaire Setting the BeoVision7 and BeoSound4 up via Masterlink should be fairly straightfoward. As previuosly mentioned you will need the Beo5 configuring and software for the TV updating (any third party boxes that you want to control will need to be added to the PUC table in the TV). Unless you have access to the Beo5 configurator and the Bang

  • Re: BV7 Blu-ray player
Does anybody know if Blu-ray discs spin at a faster speed?
Hi Phil I understand that standard DVDs rotate @ 1900RPM and Bluray discs rotate @ 4000RPM. Opman

  • Re: Digital optical Cable
Why not just do a coaxial to coaxial cable??????
The Sky+ and Sky HD boxes don't have co-axial output, they output the digital sound through optical output. The Avant doesn't have optical input, only co-axial. Hence the need to convert one to the other. BTW be aware that the convertors are NOT uni-directional
