I may be wrong Marco, but it sounds to be that you've got a useless LC2. If you could control the lights via a remote but the touch dome had failed this could be rectified, indeed I have achieved this, but a completely dead LC2 is another thing! I don't think I have ever seen on this Forum anyone who has undertaken a repair of the electronics

So if your method of decision making works for you and you don't require, or don't desire, an emotional content to the items you interact with every day, that's just fine. But passion is an important component to any decision and I'd hate to think that I'd ever spend a penny on something I didn't feel passionately about. Well

Thanks Andy, I think your suggestion is the best I can achieve. I have 5 LC2s in the room plus 1 replacing a wall switch in a passageway which leads off the lounge. There on the wall I have some framed pictures/posters which I sometimes illuminate with spots as part of an overall light picture (lounge and passageway). Most of the time however I use

I have several LC2s set for various light pictures. A couple of these light pictures are programmed so that one of the LC2s is off, making that particular area dark. If however I press the top arrow of my Beo4 to raise the 'dim level', all the lights which are on go brighter BUT the lights controlled by the LC2 which is off then come on and

I've NEVER regretted getting into B&O, even though I had to make some sacrifices at times to do so. But your question could be equally be " Is a Jaguar, Aston Martin, Bentley(!) worth the money as I normally buy a Ford?" The Ford will have seats, a body, wheels, an engine and reach 80-90 mph quite easily. In the end it's only 'worth

I loved mine. It felt so 'good' to pick up and use. Remember also that this was at a time when remotes were just plastic junk. Some still are but better ones have come along. I have very fond memories of it. When it came out I bought a later B & O remote, can't remember the model though. It had a glass display and buttons on both sides
Totally disagree! Lutron is a brand with high-end products, and this dimmer has the aesthetics of what the LC2 always should have been: Flush mounted!
Not sure who you're disagreeing with, but if it's me well that's OK! If the choice was between buying a new Lutron unit or a new LC2, I would perhaps

As for it being a replacement for a wall ight switch, yes I can see it's designed for that purpose, but I can see no reason why it cannot be used other than in a wall and therefore as such would be almost as versatile as the LC2 and able to be installed in a variety of locations

Thanks Cal, that's what I thought. I was just a little concerned that the unit, although sold seperately, had to be installed as part of a larger control system rather than 'stand-alone'. As for it being a replacement for a wall light switch, yes I can see it's designed for that purpose, but I can see no reason why it cannot be used

On their website Lutron have a range of Rania wall light dimmers. Am I correct in thinking however that they have only one which is B&O compatable? If so, is this unit a 'replacement' for the LC2, by which I mean can a LC2 be disconnected, the Rania connected in its place and dimming light control then achieved as before? Finally, if the
