I, too, find this a scary thought (i.e. B&O's upcoming digital media offerings / BeoSound 5 being based on the Windows platform). I think this will prove to be very short-sighted on B&O's part. I'm going to paste my (never sent) letter to Mr. Sorensen again as it summarizes the way I felt a couple of years ago and continue to feel

Sal, I actually just spoke with Pat Roche the other day, and he informed me that he has recently taken a job with a charitable organization. I personally know Pat and I'm certain that this is something that he chose to do and that will suit him well as he's a very giving person. However, seeing the Oak St. store go through these changes is rough

Sal, I agree with you - Mr. TBS has put too much faith in Microsoft as a company and in Windows as an OS. If we are to learn anything from history, these are misplaced faiths (witness the Zune versus the "Plays For Sure" crowd). I also thought the Windows is a "safer technology platform" quote humorous though somewhat scary. Regarding

Lee, I think you did a great job - particularly considering your rushed circumstances. Had I been in your shoes, it would have been a much less eloquent interview. However, you did a good job of flowing from one subject to the other and touching on a lot of the things that we wanted asked. You represented BeoWorld very well. Thank you. Also, I appreciate

Peter, I agree that we certainly don't want to bombard Mr. Sorensen's valuable time by making my diatribe (and I'm not being sarcastic when I say this) a significant portion of the limited interaction. I can see where this might be mis-perceived as confrontational when Beoworld wants just the opposite - to have a very good relationship with

Philippe, Microsoft can't keep up with Apple's software developers right now (look at Vista and all it's issues) - how therefore can B&O's "in house" software development compete with Apple's elegant software solutions? Hiring Apple's software designers? I don't think so. Apple is positioned to be very powerful
-
Philippe, I'm with Soundproof - nothing could be more pertinant than a discussion of Apple's relationship with B&O in the context of "things that Beoworld'ers would like discussed with Mr. Sorensen." That there have apparently been many prior Apple versus Windows discussions in these forums is irrelevant, in my opinion. For

Clifft, Thank you for your kind words. You're absolutely right about surgeons (at least in the USA) being notoriously arrogant. Likewise, you're "right on the money" regarding orthopedic surgeons, but I have to admit that retinal surgeons share the same dubious reputation (maybe even more so). I've actually mellowed over the past
-
Graham, I appreciate your point about my letter possibly giving the impression that I speak on behalf of most Beoworld'ers, but I suspect that Mr. Sorensen is more savvy and nuanced and that he will see this letter for what it is - a personal plea from a solitary B&O customer to please at least look at Apple. By the way, my main impetus for
-
Lee, Does that mean that you'd be willing to give him my letter? I get the impression that the answer is "no" which, as I said, is fine. I'd simply like to know if you thought it worthy to give to Mr. Sorensen. I feel that I was speaking in broad, non-technical terms about a new corporate way B&O could consider going (i.e. I see
