Limits compared? The Beomaster 6500 is rated 2*110 watts 8 ohm. The Beomaster 4500 is rated 2*55 watts 8 ohm. Nobody really belives that the Beomaster 6500 rates that high in output power but that whats B&O states. Maybe the amp is better built in the 4500? People here don't rate the amps in 5500,6500 and 7000 as anything special. 5000 is the

Since I got my Beosystem 6500 in march 2009 I've been using it pretty much every day. I got Beomaster, Beocord and Beogram CD 6500. Found a Beocord 5500 for cheap but 100% perfect order so its a second Beocord. The age which is '89-'91 from the time it came out. First with MCP 6500 and then Beolink 7000. Not much are yet to go wrong. The

WOW! I'm also waiting for one but it should be white edition. Just very good condition is my criteria for one.

I don't know the difference either. I got a lovely pair bought in 1979 by a family member. They still sound and look great. You can actually hang S45-2 with the 6014 wall brackets if you do not have any original stands. A few weeks ago I was not aware of that. 2 times a year there is a big marked in my town and I saw those 6014 brackets but went

As for B&O making a mistake I would like to say that the production line is mainly in a circle with the workers (ladies for the Beosound 9000 a few years ago) with the B&O comming on rails, then stopped for a job like insert a printboard or other stuff then send on to the next person by rails. It hen ends up at the packing machine and put in

Well the price was around 20 US$ so why not? It was the first of 2 markets in my city and I had not really found anything either of interest that day. Then ad my experience of nothing/never heard to my knowledge + a B&O unit. Comming home I was pleasantly surpriced to find the Beocord 1600 in perfect working order. The counter does not work but

I would get a pro to do it. First and foremost. So that would mean the local B&O shop. You would need to locate the right wiring for the plug and then solder it back on. Any B&O shop could provide that at least. If the cable is not long enough you would need B&O to open the bottom part anyway to change the whole cable. Its not a big repair

It does look great. Mine is used with a Beomaster 8000 and sound/design follows each other greatly. It reads cdr's and don't jump as much as my CD6500. I don't miss remote link options on it. It a brilliant piece of B&O/Phillips

There should be enough cable lenght for resoldering the plug back on. When I look at mine it looks like it's possiple.
