Sorry, enough time trawling. I'm sure there's somewhere within Beoworld where current UK prices are shown. Where is it?
-
Is it possible to enable use of a set top box controller via the LX5500?
-
I had mine connected to the TP2 RCA inputs. You need an adapter lead for this which are easy enough to obtain. It works fine although no remote of course and limited control from the front panel. If you don't use a Beocord you could, as Graham says, connect the CD7000 directly to the TAPE input where, from memory I think it is possible at least

Yes, sorry I meant the type 1611 which would do the MCL/ML trick. Probably better than via an MCL2AV + sensor because, as Stig says the 3500 display might not function correctly with this arrangement. Thanks for the help Regards David

...So will work with a Powerlink output from an MCL2AV? This would save me buying an MCL>ML converter.
-
So I can connect my MCL cable direct? Perhaps only to a unit that is a few years old. Looks like a new one would need a converter. Is the powerlink on this product for output only?
-
I would connect it directly to MCL cable or to an MCL2AV. A BC9500 is the source. Thanks David

Thankyou for that information damatt. The system is working as it should now. The problem was an incorrect lead between the MCL2AV and the LX. Regards David

The Beoworld user manual section shows the Beolab 3500 having ML and MCL connections. Does this speaker still have an 8 pin MCL socket or is an ML/MCL converter now required? Can the 3500 be operated using an MCL2AV and powerlink?

Using a CD7000, MCL2AV and LX5500. I can control the CD via the TV but there is no sound. TV is in option 2. CD track number is displayed on the screen. Can anyone advise me how to play the CD sound through the LX?
