They're definitely all the same - perhaps the 2 holes on yours have the rubber plugs inserted in them, thus making them hard to see. Also, in order to make the adjustment the CD arm must be at the CD #1 position.

Try one of the other inputs - e.g. 'Aux'. Are you sure the cartridge is good?

They used to conduct clinics at dealers that carried their products (and might still). They had all sorts of electronic test equipment on hand to measure the specifications of components - right in front of you. You could bring in your Brand X amplifier (or whatever) and see if it lived up to its specifications. I guess the point was, in many cases

Yes, tho heard you can go as high as 150F (65C?). Keep it pressed till it cools. Still hit or miss; depends upon the type of vinyl used.

Thanks - that's what I would have guessed. I'm using Windows Media Player to stream archived broadcast audio from a radio station's web site.
