• Re: Beosound 2 firmware update 2.00 where?

One other thought... if your SD card is completely full, there is no room to create the "Default Playlist.epl" files. Make sure you have at least 1M or a couple hundred K free on your SD card before you press the down arrows.
how can I manage to change the volume?
You can always change the volume with the beo remote. The volume control I'm complaining about not being able to use is the wheel integrated into the BS5. I also believe that stephan has different behavior because of the BV in the setup. Stan

Actually, I have tried to "slave" my BS9000 to the BS5, and it doesn't like it (system seemed to lockup and be non-responsive). Maybe a software update would do the trick - not worth the trouble if you ask me - this is a minor irritation. What was tried before was to put the BS5 into link room mode, but disconnect the speakers from the

I didn't try this myself, but somebody else on the forum did. My understanding is that when the BS9000 is in slave mode you cannot listen to it's sources (CD, Radio, AUX) in link rooms. Stan

Here's a screenshot of my sd card - (also, you can delete the file "Default Playlist.epl" and the BS2 should regenerate the playlist vs. step 6) above - also, in step 6), when it starts playing, it doesn't start with the new music, it starts wherever it left off before) - One final question - your card is not write-locked at all, correct

Steve, I just walked thru this, and it did not require anything special. 1) Plugin SD Card reader to Mac 2) Insert SD Card, wait for Mac to recognize 3) Copy folder of MP3s from Mac to top level of SD Card - Drag folder of music and drop on to SD Card icon in Finder. No sub-folders in the folder, just mp3s. 4) Eject SD Card 5) Place SD Card into BS2

You still select songs, albums, artists using the BS5. Only On/Off and volume are controlled via the BS9000. Actually, you can turn the BS5 on/off using the BS5 on/off button, but you cannot hear what it is playing until you turn on the BS9000 (as the speakers are connected to the BS9000). I'm not sure about using an beo4 with N.music. All of my

  • Re: Beosound 9000 with Beosound 5

I have this setup. You need only connect the BS5 to the BS9000 via a masterlink cable. If you have an old BS9000 (mkI or mkII), you may need to check the software to see if it is N.Music capable. Actually, you can probably test this by selecting N.Music on your Beo4 (you will have to add N.Music to the Beo4's list), and verify that the BS9000 displays
Alternative solution .. something like those iPod converters that broadcast an FM signal for a car's radio to tune into ? Then the BS3 could play such a source ... not as neat as the original idea, but perhaps something that is more easily achieved.
I do this from time to time. The flat top of the BS3 makes

I like the idea, too. however, I would not hold your breath - this would require, among other things, an Analog-to-Digital converter that fits in an SD Card. Stan
