  • Re: Advice please

SMALL ROOM: A house or Condo Den, Library, Bedroom. The B&O catalogues frequently use large, glass walled Bauhaus-style homes to advertise the B&O product with. Mies van der Rohe comes to mind. They look great of course, as any product would, but the fact is that other than the very wealthy, large homes are not being built much any more. The

We have a pair of BL 4 above a flatscreen 32, and a pair of BL 4000 on either side of a 47 flatscreen. As Peter mentioned, the BL 4000 is clearly a better sound source. No question. However, if the room is very small, the BL 4's might work as you would like it to. We tried the ceiling mount, but the sound was too far from the screen image not to

  • Re: Stereo pair of RCA Pre-Out to Beolab Line In Cables

I use a pair of the SOUNDS HEAVENLY cables for a pair of Beolab 4 speakers. The are good quality, well constructed, and were delivered quite fast abroad as I recall. I had a problem before with static and occaisional interference that we no longer experience with the new cables. The sound now is rich, crisp, with no hiss, and being used in the Tropics

  • Re: ' Sound interruptions' in N-Radio with my BeoPort

Teletom; Your analogy of a "pipeline" is quite correct. Part of a problem can be the length of the pipeline, bifurcations along the way, and how many other users are along the way in front of you. Our expensive B&O A/V equipment is only as good as the signal strength it receives. When the Beoport came to the market, I was an early buyer

  • Re: Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 2000 Beolink Speakers

Yes, very compatible. As mentioned above, the BL 2000 is ML cable linked to your BS 3200 stereo. 1. They work very well in smaller rooms, hallways, garage workshops, etc. I suspect they can be used in an outdoor setting (if covered from the weather) as I have used 4 inter-connected in a high humidity, salt air location without problems near the Equator

  • Re: ' Sound interruptions' in N-Radio with my BeoPort

The " drop outs " are caused by the Internet speed you have, and the demand at the time on the Internet as a whole. Listening alone is fine at times, but do computer work at the same time, download a film, or CD, and the drop outs increase. Do all of the above at 5 (1700 ) in the evening, and the multiplier increases again. My solution is

  • Re: Beolab 4000 question

The exploded view of the Beolab 4000 speaker is available on BEOWORLD in the service manual section. This alone is invaluable to your project: With an upgrade to Gold membership all of the product technical manuals are available to you. The top and bottom gasket is specific to the installation, and is needed to do the job right. As a few of us have

  • Re: Beolab 4000 question

The front aluminum plates are relatively easily to remove and replace. The top and bottom metal ellipses are another matter. Essentially both pieces are gasketed, and glued on. In replacing the top and bottom, it can be an expectation to destroy the originals during the process. If you have not tried this before, I would reccommend you consult with

  • Re: Experiences with Slingbox

Graham; I've used one in Brasil ( 220-240v region ) for the past two years with no problems. The signal is not true HD, but close enough to be enjoyable and keep up on local news. The setup is very easy. We run the Slingbox audio through our Beosound 1 or Beolab 4 speakers: No problems there either.
