The G4s may be a bit slow to play some videos, but for music they are fine. p.

Beomedia is quite an old machine for Leopard... But the internal Beoport is seen as being connected though USB. I have used a "USB tracer" sofware to analyse the traffic between the computer and the internal Beoport. p.

ATV 1 should be OK. Airport Extreme does not have a sound jack, so you cannot stream to it. Of course it is no problem to use it as a wireless router in between the 2.

Yes you can. The Avant does not respond to the PC command. So you would be using the Solution 3 on this page . Yes, there are BIG differences between generation of Mac mini. The Powerlink cable carries both the left and right channel... When you select L, the speaker plays the left channel, When you select R, the speaker plays the right channel, When you select Center, I am guessing it mixes both channels into one.
