JoC: I currently have the BL8s & a BL2 with the BV7, if I was to change these for the BL9s: 1. Should I then think about getting rid of the BL2. 2. The BV7 has the BL7-2 (no BL7-4 because it's on a table stand), so would the sound be OK, with a mix of ALT and Non ALT speakers. JoC It's hard to recommend anybody to get rid of B&O stuff

You will not regret it. I have a set up with BL9s and BL3s using flat equalization and have never felt the need of extra bass. as per the design, I had the same doubts before I got them at home, they are really awsome (a fan of the BL8000 is telling you this). BL5 are in another league but not every house/neighborhood will be ready for them. I would

Seems like they will release the BV7-46 to fill in the gap. It's surprising that they won't make available the non-DVD version to the public, given the DVD format wars some people will want to hold on the purchase of a TV set with DVD included. Also those BC2 owners will expect a TV without DVD. Strange..

I faced the same decision few weeks ago. I used to have BV3+BL6000 and was planning to go for BV3+BL9+BL6000+BL2. My colleagues convinced me that it would be more beneficial to replace the BL6000 with BL3's and parking the BL2 for a while. That way I would get a full ALT set up. I did it and haven't regret it a single second. BL3s are excellent
