Yes Chris, I agree about Soundsmith. I have an SMMC20EN and it is a bit bright, but not unpleasant.

Just got a black painted BG1202 set up next to the Beosystem 7000 on the Attyca 1. Listening to the Boss right now...
Nice! • Re: which speakers

I have never listened to S75s, nor have I listened to a BM4400. However, I have two pairs of M70s, a pair of S45-2s, a pair of S40s, a BM4000, a BM2400, and a BM1900. I primarily listen to classic rock LPs with the BM4000, and prefer my refurbished pair of M70s to the S45-2s and S40s. I listen in a fairly large room, though. In a smaller room I like
Away from home working on a 40 long tons printing m/c, want to go home a start on my BM 4000, parts from Martin arrived.
Best of luck. Love my BM4000.

  • Re: Which Test CD's do you advise me?

I own Stereophile's Test CD 1 and Test CD 3 . Big fan of 3. Use it quite a bit. What I need is a Test LP!
