• Re: Some questions about pentas and crossovers

Foams - you can't get them from B&O, only complete new midrange drivers. Not that expensive, but needing eight of them still makes it an investment. No problem at all mixing caps from different manufacturers (or even different types). I got all the caps for mine by Intertechnik (160V MKT). The 27 uF is a bit of an oddball, but IT makes it as

  • Re: B&O Tattoo center
That surely is an interesting picture. Sad to here the B&O shop closed, though...
I have lived near that installation since 1994 and I don't think I ever saw any B&O content in that shop apart from the window stickers Never visited it though...

  • Re: Beomaster 900K & a novice needing help

Welcome from me as well, and congratulations! A 900K was my first B&O piece as well I'd add that you need to either measure the fuses or replace them with new ones - those glass tube fuses can be blown (or corroded) even if they seem OK. Sometimes the wire breaks when you remove them and the end cap gets twisted a little. You have a rather early

  • Re: Doors open with Beo4 on BeoCenter 2
Yes it is true, but on all DVD players today, there is an eject button on the remote.
I'd say the minority. Actually I think none of the DVD/BD players I've used had that. I believe that the real reason for not having this function is that if you can eject remotely (perhaps even from another room without

  • Re: RL 140 tweeter replacement

At least my smaller RLs (60.2 and 6000) are identical with each other, i.e non mirrored both technically and cosmetically (straps + the logo). Same with the Pentas, midranges on the left and the tweeters on the right. I would expect the 140s be this way as well - if yours have the type sticker left, they should both have the same serial number.

  • Re: Beogram 3000 (Tangential version)
The whole thing is fiendishly ingenious and if I ever resolve it I think I might feel rather satisfied.
I'm sorry I can't help you with your problem, but I just had to say that this is a feeling you better get accustomed to if you plan to work with B&O turntables Season's greetings in any case

  • Re: BeoVision AV5 - CDi vs VCD - PAL vs NTSC - VCD Region Codes?

I've been slowly reading the Jarmans' book and only now got to the section that talks about the AV5. They say that near the end of its life, it was sold at a greatly reduced price without the actual CD-i functionality, meaning that it would only play audio CDs. Could it be that you have one of these? One would expect that it couldn't even

  • Re: Beogram 4004 solenoid

Another point to check might be the small spring that tensions the lifting arm (part no. 219 at least in 4002/6000 service manual). In my 4004, the other end of it was dislocated and the arm just wouldn't rise at a proper speed even after I had freed everything else. But if you can see the actual solenoid piston not moving fast enough, this will

  • Re: Beovision MX4002 compatible with ps3 ?

In the sockets menu, goto for example AV1, set it to show "V.TP-1" (or some such, for "video tape recorder 1" anyway). Then when you connect your PS3 to AV1, you should be able to select it with "V.TAPE" on the remote. If this doesn't help then I'm afraid I can't advice any further, must be something specific
