As far as I know, the complete Module 96 together with it's PCB40 is compatible without changing other things. (Info provided by a B&O service tech but not confirmed by me!)

Hi Leon, Have you changed anything to provoke this reaction? If no then suggest switch off for a minute then back on. Any imrovement? If no then probably requires service support. Tim Jarman serviced one of mine recently and tells me that they are not particlarly complex so your local service agent should be OK to fix it.

With Lab 8000's as posted you will have no problem with ordinary Mk1 powerlinks. I have supplied countless pairs of 6000's and 8000's with these and have never had a problem. High end cable, high end connectors, high end price!! It's just an excuse to relieve the mug punter of more money. If there was a problem with ordinary powerlinks

Peter: Get a pair of S120s or S75s. Cheaper and I wouldn't be surprised if they outperformed the 4000s! Agree with you Peter.

I know what you mean. What with modern electrons getting bigger and bigger they must have trouble moving in a tight bend! And how can they see where they are going? It must be dark in there!

If I were you I would take the offending amplifier to Tim Jarman. Contact him at www.beocentral.com

When you consider that you can get a DVD player from Tesco for £20 are any of the DVD1's a good deal?? You could buy one of these for every TV in the house and still have wads of change. Ebay examples don't often make over £300 nowadays. The prices are dropping fairly quickly.

Flappo The Grate: i have the 6000's and never cease to be amazed by the oomph they display , so much for them being bass light eh ? i was playing ace of spades on them a few weeks ago and i actually had to turn the bass down nuff said :) I am resisting the temptation to pass comment on your ears, Flappo. I suggest that you get these speakers checked

I don't usually read this forum being a PC man. I didn't realise how exciting it was. Keep up the good work guys, you're better than watching the tele. Much more fun!
