A classic B&O system - probably the one most people would think of when modern B&O is mentioned. Pictures would be nice!

You can use what you have - look at the wiring diagram Quim43 has provided. Personally, I would simply get a pre-wired one - you don't, as has ben pointed out, need the buttons and it will be simpler.

S/W 1.1 is the latest and offers better handling of decoder boxes - the blurb on it is as follows: S/W 1.1 A new software version 1.1 for 33XX has now been introduced. Cause: New handling of NICAM module to avoid fault experiences with Texas IC. Expansion of AV1 setup to contain 12V handling of decoder. The extra menu item is "V.TP-1 + DEC"

I agree - I like dark wood - though the 70s Beomaster 2000 in white and silver is quite something.

The red label signifies a pre-production run - I believe most models were subject to this but red label products were not sold - I imagine most were tested to destruction.

The Struer museum has a wooden sided Beogram 5000. I think it looks a bit odd!

Not sure my patience runs to the 5001! The 4401 is the real McCoy though - red label signifying a prototype with probably 30 being made we think. There are conflicting stories though.
