Torben, The mute function you describe is in the User Manual. I do agree it is in very small print, so I guess it will be missed by many people.

Whilst in principle this seems a good idea, in the B&O world it may not be so helpful because for most B&O TV products they set the user setting for Brightness, contrast and colour to the centre position as the ideal setting. From the service menu these can be changed, but few need to be, particularly if you have a Beovision 7-40 which gives

Matt, Assuming that you are happy to take the Beocom 6000 phones apart, then you can purchase an upgrade kit part number 3455103 which consists of a new board and display, new front panel and two connecting pieces. Most dealers do not know about these kits, hence why you will need the part number. In fact everything you can see below is in teh kit:

Matt, Welcome to Beoworld.. You can no longer obtain the RF chips for the Mark I Beocom 6000, however a Mark I Beocom 6000 can be upgraded to a Mark II except the upgraded version does not have the earset socket, and still works on a Mark I charger. The kit to do the upgrade is about £50 per phone. Let me know if you want to have your phones upgraded

The AVANT does accept NTSC normally via the SCART in Europe. Depending on the type of US product you are using you may need to use a cable which has the US plugs one and and SCART the other end.
