I prefer the 4000 and 8000 series of decks - I think the 4000 in particular has better bass and is just so much better built! However the 5005 is as good as any of the later tangential decks. I would suggest you get a Beomaster 5000 as this is the best sounding of the range - if you want to use the modern remotes, a Beomaster 5500 is the choice.

They will work but not by remote. The Beogram 9500 uses Datalink which the 2400 did not. What you want is a Beomaster 2400-2 , Beogram 4004 amd S45-2s. I would suggest a Beogram CDX would also be an excellent addition rather than the Beocord 2400 which, although it has good performance, is not as stylish. The record player will be controlled by the

Pretty sure you can still get the correct plugs - just been given one by Frede and I bought an ribbon aerial with the correct two pin plug from a radio shop not that long ago. I probably have a telescopic aerial somewhere if you cannot find a plug though. I would not use a rabbit ear aerial personally.

Actually it is not a Jensen design - Jensen's first commission was to update this to the black key model.

Most 1000s that I have seen have a voltage switch on the bottom - no doubt some of the myriad types produced do not though - if this is the case, you need a transformer. The speaker outlets are DIN plugs - the 2 pin variety. Less sure that you can get the radio working as I believe the US system differs somewhat from the European standard. Does it still

Hen's teeth! It is called a VX sensor but will need to be hard wired (soldered ) - I think a normal MCL IR transceiver will work but I have no further information. These days, an older Beovision will probably cost the same!
