  • Re: Connecting BeoPort to the PC - what's necessary?

Thomas, I am pleased that you have managed to get most aspects working now, but lets look again at the sound mixing. As I said previously you need to go to the ADVANCED tab and your should look like teh one below:- Note that MIX Sound must be off. The quality of the sound card does have influence on the resultant sound, but most good quality soundcards

  • Re: IR-Codes for DTV

Frank, No, you don't need the CNTL_ functions for changing channel. You quite often need to use a delay between commands in a macro to a STB including channel changes. I am currently preparing some web pages which will include a table for the CTNL_ functions, but they have different functions depending on the STB you are using, but control such
  • Re: IR-Codes for DTV

Frank, You will need to use the CNTL_ functions for control of the STB such as TV:CNTL_1 which is equal to STB menu 1, in other words if you were using a Beo4 you would press DTV then MENU and at the side would be the STB menu with numbers next to each command. The CNTL commands are actually macros which replaces two button presses on the Beo4 To use
  • Re: Beovision 3 and PVR

Whilst the 9200 is not currently in the STB controller list you may wish to try it with earlier box settings for two reasons:- Manufacturers tend to use the same codes from model to model just adding new codes where required Often the core everyday functionality remains the same from one model to the next

  • Re: Weird Problem

When you say "Static" through the speakers, what were you really hearing ? If you mean it sounds like an amplifier with an open input, then that could be caused by many things, but perhaps the most likely is a loss of one of the internal power lines in the AVANT which when switching off and on again reset it. The internal power lines have

  • Re: BeoVision Avant DVD Television

Tom, Its good to hear that you have your AVANT working now. I have to say that you should take up Daniels suggestion about the Lintronics box, it really will do the job. The initial setup may take you a few hours, but once setup, you will never touch it again and you will able to control both your AVANT and your cable box with your Beo4

  • Re: Beoport 4.65 - Album covers - Ripped CD's

Well, thats very interesting that the album covers appear some days later. I have yet to see that occur. Taking your comments into consideration, this means that Beoport/Beoplayer must scan existing music files every so often for covers which I have not seen occur on four PC's I have tested it on. More likely is that it could have something to do

  • Re: Beoport 4.65 - Album covers - Ripped CD's

Each time you RIP a CD the system makes a connection to AMG to get the cover image, if one does not exist, then it provides a window for your to provide information about the newly RIP'ed CD. The cover images are held in the same directory as your music file, but they are hidden files. You can enable the viewing of hidden files from Windows Explorer

  • Re: Connecting BeoPort to the PC - what's necessary?

The Beoport would normally be set to option 6. The audio signal is NOT transmitted over the USB, only the command and control signals use the USB. In the Advance Setting TAB of the Configuration menu (Click SETUP then CONFIG) there is a setting to allow PC sound to be mixed with other audio or not, so you will need to click on NONE. If you do NOT have

  • Re: Dealer or Home Configuration?

Gentlemen, Perhaps I could answer a few questions raised in this thread related to the Beo5 Configuration Tool. Question -- Can I transfer an existing Beo5 Configuration from my dealer to another PC ? Answer -- Yes you can... The actual configuration file is called "Configuration.XML" which can be found in directory C:\Program Files\Bang &
