Peter: Where are you? If local, you could have my bases if you need them. (This is not an invitation for anyone else to write to me for them!!) You are a very generous person!

Hehe it was the adrenalin that kicked in! Yes i sampled a few pieces of music last night, at 3am, and 'saw' a hell of a difference. Apple lossless is surprisingly different (rubbish) sounding when compared to a CD which was a surprise. I am very passionate about music, and it wasn't ideal to spend this amount of money (espeacially at my

Very excited about my new BeoLab 5's that i picked up a couple of days ago. Am i allowed to swear? Holy moly... they are exquisite, SO real, so wonderful. Words really cannot describe what it is like owning them. Is there anybody who can? I hope they last all the way up to the day i die!!

If i was in your position, i would seriously consider the beolab 9, with possibly beolab 4, 6000's (or even your 8000's) as rear speakers. What do you think? Have you seen and heard the 9's yet? :)

I'll shut my mouth now. You are right, and i have not tested the difference on beolab 5's for instance.

Sorry, I assume they will ONE day, they have been around for 15 years already...

Well said, and i used A8 Earphones to test... that in my opinion was the best way to test this. I would say, essentially what really matters is that we are satisfied, however we may listen to our music.

jooka: i don't think so. it's just coincidence. after all, there are no 4000's grilles on the back of beolab 4000's. Clearly.

soundproof: philipsmz333: I struggle to be able to hear the difference between 128bit AAC versus something such as apple lossless. Obviously cd's are ALOT better for listening... aren't they? Somebody please prove this! Huge difference between 128kbps AAC and Apple Lossless/CD. I've tested this, repeatedly, to my own and others' satisfaction
