Beofan2: BS5 has a harddrive and wireless internetconnection. And it`s a stand alone product. Ah, so it is more like I expected. Sounds a little like a mix of the BC2 and BS4, with the facility to store digital audio (I guess if it's wireless, it will be audio-only though) and playback through speakers in different locations in your house. I was

Bingo: Now they think they found out the wheel again with a camera on the new Beovision4 . I saw a $7,500 dollar price mentioned for the 50 inch new Beovison 4 without speaker but if this includes the Beosystem 3 which was always part of the Beovision 4, there must be a dramaticly price-reduction on its'w way. http://www.i4u.com/article13929.html

Mico: IMHO you can never have too big screen. Depends on the room! My BV7-40 is a tad too large for my sitting room - dominates the room and people have remarked on that a few times. However, a 40" isn't large, but the BV7 has a wide border around the screen and the 7.2 makes it appear even wider than it should. Size wise, the width of the

Mr10Percent: I used to listen to football fans harp on about black and foreign plays here in the UK. The answer is simple. They were better than the rest of us and wanted less for doing more. Are you sure? Drogba, Essien, Anelka (world's most expensive transferred player) aren't exactly cheap. Ravenelli was our most expensive player by far

Bingo: I never understood why B&O kept it's prices so unrealistic high when they moved a lot of the production to an eastern-europe country. Ik was expecting a huge price-fall. I think you've answered your own point: B&O realised that they could increase their profit margin further by moving to an Eastern European manufacturing plant

soundproof: I'm a Pioneer (508XD) and BeoVision 8 owner. Satisfied with both. To be fair, I can imagine the BV8 picture quality would be fine with SD - much like my old BV7-32. However, I'd still consider the Avant + B&O speakers, then trade-up to a next-generation B&O LCD TV in a year from now. The Avant won't be worth a great deal

Peter: The only exception to this would be my Beolab 3s which at the volumes I listen to are wonderful. I'd concur. I really like my BL3's. They sound even better than before, since I took the BL2 away from my BS4 + BL3 setup. The BL3's now sound 'cleaner' and can be pushed hard as required, for a two-bed apartment. I wouldn't

The Beonic Man: If you prefer to stay with the B&O brand then I would suggest buying a second-hand Avant 32 RF DVD if you can find one. It sounds like the screen size would be just right for your living space and the picture quality is the best in its class. I recently bought a 7-40 with 7-2 speaker but its not a great TV and definitely does not

Peter: I would get an Avant 32 DVD as a stop gap. I probably would have to agree with Peter, as a previous BV7-32 and now a BV7-40 owner. Search the forum for my previous comments about the new BV7-40 MKIII. It's superb with HD, excellent with Blu-ray, decent with upscaled SD DVDs, reasonable for Sky SD but average for DVB-T/Freeview. The current

The Beonic Man: Out of interest what product gives you the greatest pleasure? Good question. I would say my BV7-40 doesn't offer me the 'pleasure' that my older BV7-32 offered. More people remarked on the BV7-32 picture quality than the BV7-40, for example, which further reinforces my slight disappointment with the set. Sky SD is fine, but
