The problem here is you need to know which remote or MCP was used to programme your system as the same type must be used to cancel it. Chris.

rabble: I've connected it to the Aux input. From the Beolink 1000, this input can be selected by either the Sat or Tv button. Still no sound. AUX is selected on the BM7000 by pressing shift > radio on the beolink 1000, never heard of using the Sat or TV buttons for this and I'm pretty sure this is where you are going wrong. Chris.

The beomaster 7000 doesn't have RCA inputs they are all DIN - I think you mean the BM5000/5500's. Don't forget there is no RIAA fitted to the BM7000. Chris.

Hi Coho and welcome to Beoworld. It sounds most likely that your beogram isn't earthed (grounded) via the adaptor cable. Simply run a earth/ground wire from the turntable chassis or the shielding on the Din plug to your receiver. Chris.

Hi Scotty and welcome to Beoworld The best advice I can give for speakers is to go down to your nearest dealer and audition some for yourself. Speaker choice is a very personal matter and will often depend on what type of music appeals to you so take along some of your favourite CD's to test. Beolab 8000's are often paired with this machine

Do you have the MCP 5000? If not, the short term answer is to store your volume level at zero - obviously the timer will still be programmed but at least you'll get some sleep! Chris.

I've never owned BL8000's (although I have heard them in store) but I have owned both redline 60.2's & penta's and have to agree that the penta's just blow the redlines into the next county Personally I think redline 60's are very underrated speakers but as with you Steve my wife hated the design so she they had to go. Penta's

That's correct Henrik. As you rightly say though there were no differences at all other than the packaging and the designation of the letter R.
-
No difference at all, they are identical in every way. The R simply means it was sold as a replacement item and not supplied with a beogram at the time of sale.

pgerell: I guess there are more key combinations that could be useful. Do you know where to find this info? If I manage to disable the loudness function, is there a way to enable it from the beolink 1000? I just want to be sure that i don't enable it by mistake. /Peter There is an ongoing thread on the general forum giving useful key combinations
