jk1002: You can get Itunes control with Beoport but just on a MAC. For PC, only Beooplayer is supported. So Beoport would be out. There were some "complete" solutions posted here, one was an entire media PC that would be controllable outside the box with beo 4. There were also some software solutions posted, not sure though if that covered

jk1002: I used IRED/IRTRANS (google IRTRANS for a PC solution) for a while on my Mac, I have to say that even for setting up one of these solutions one should be a bit of a "propellor head". I will admit I am new to B&O but have good mechanical inclination as I restore and repair classic automobiles. As far as programming is concerned

They are Realistic brand. They are very good condition and all the other hardware is in near perfect condition. I am at school right now so I don't have the model number haha. The problem with the subwoofer is that the rubber/foam suspension around the speaker cone has become brittle and deteriorated. As a result, the suspension has come off of

So I read somewhere that the Beo4 could be used to control a pc. To what extent does this capability go to? What is the necessary equipment to make this happen? What program(s) does this apply itself to? Any information is always appreciated, thank you.

The only thing that i see as odd is the fact that all my other CD players (Non B&O) of the same era have both left and right RCA signal jacks/outputs. Why doesn't this carry over to the BG CD 4500?
-
Well I guess my reason for hesitation is my newfound appreciation for B&O and my inexperience with the brand. I think that this is to blame. Now I feel as though I should have bought them all.

Interesting. At any rate there is an RCA output that I believe says "digital output" above it. I am not near it now so that may be slightly incorrect.

There was unfortunately not a warranty available. But yes the charger/base was included.
