  • Re: HELP! ML/MCL Converter and Beosystem 2300

I'm not absolutely sure what components you have but for sure the Powerlink cable from the 2300 to the converter must be a Mk2 or often called fully wired cable. If that's no help then please clarify what you have with type numbers.

If the TV is new then don't meddle with it. Get your dealer to sort it. You've paid enough!

  • Re: Dissatisfaction with Beolab Penta2

If you are used to the brighter, more clinical sound of modern speakers then you are almost certainly not going to like pentas. It's quite OK not to like the penta sound. Like me, you should withstand the torrent of "abuse" directed at you by the majority on this site and just stick with what you like!

  • Re: When was the Avant made?

Dave: So on average the rate was 1,000,000 products popping out of struer per year, does this mean that production at B&O has halved from 2003 onwards? No, I think the first two digits indicate the year of manufacture of main products only. It doesn't seem to apply for accessories and I'm sure the system is not counting screws! It would

  • Re: BC9500

It's got it's knickers in a twist somewhere. Is this a stand alone 9500 we are discussing or part of a link system? If stand alone, do the front panel controls work as should. ie not using a remote? If not then suggest unplug from mains, leave 2 mins then plug in and try again.

  • Re: Beogram 4500

Remove the plater and the rear portion of the lid (the plastic bit with the grooves in). Now you will see three round cutouts in the base spaced around the outer edge of the sub platter, within them is a screw (Philips headed) which adjusts the tension on the spung chassis. Only small changes are required to lift/lower and it's a bit trial and error

Tesco! £20 . Hack it with the remote. Works a treat.

  • Re: DVD 1 speculation

It most definitely is not multiregion and there is no simple hack that I know of to make it so. There are those shady characters around who will modify the firmware to make it multiregion, I think Lee knows of one. Be wary of the Mk1 versions whose DVD mechs are now getting a bit "iffy". I have had two recently which cost me a lot of money
