  • Re: "Beolab 2 is slow": what does it mean?

js: Dear all, I have quite a large living room (about 120 sqm) where my BL8000s sound a little weak. I know I'd better buy BL9s, but I want to keep my BL8000s for the moment so I am considering adding a BL2. Note that I am listening to music only (no home cinema in this room) I'm no music expert, but I had a BL2 connected to my BS4 and BL3 speakers

Beolab: So i don´t see why we all complaining about the price on B&o.. Buy Samsung or Pioneer if you wont to feel like an "Average Joe" then.. (I think we already have too many Average Joe´s in this world) I'm not sure what circles you move in, Beolab, but most people I know - and they have high disposable income - couldn't

  • Re: Does anyone know who heads B&O Australia?

Dude1: But this information will not help, as the directive is from Struer to not take any products that are not within the current portfolio. Guys, I hope this doesn't happen in the UK - they might be using Australia as a test territory before rolling out across the board. The worrying thing is that I was reassured about my BV7-40 MKIII that you'd

beolife: Just look here for the answer http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-6584818.rsp?pa_n=1&tr_t=buy Actually, seeing this makes me less likely to buy B&O. I earn a better-than-average wage, thanks to hard work, but 99.8% of people are not in this bracket. The average B&O customer doesn't live like this. Yes, they might have a property

355f: I just dont believe the sort of the people that buy B&O ----- 1. dont care what it costs at all- skys the limit. 7 times the cost 15 times the cost- not an issue 2 are oblivious to any other brands, and the fact that they perform better for 1/7 of the price 3. dont care if its technically years behind ( in some cases) From my experience of

  • Re: BS3+HDMI - help needed

Mico: I am quite certain that my plasma does not have HDCP. With this I need to get in contact with the screen manufacturer. I am currently unwilling to invest on a new screen because of lack of HD sources. My test during the weekend seems to be a failure so far . Alex is right over this, too. You can't upgrade an old run-of-the-mill TV to support

  • Re: value for money

Alex: The price of their top end systems isn't an issue, at least in the UK (the US market may be different). The kind of people who can afford a high end B&O system are willing to pay the prices. But sales are down 12% in the UK Alex. Are you sure? I can't see that (the BS4 update) helping increase sales.

  • Re: BS3+HDMI - help needed

355f: HDCP starting to be used?? it was used from the start thats why HDMI was invented! Yeah, but if you read his post....he has a HDMI -> DVI converter as his plasma is an old DVI-only socket.

  • Re: BS3+HDMI - help needed

Alex: The issue is with the Plasma screen, not the BeoSystem 3. A technology called HDCP (HD content protection) is starting to be used by manufacturers and film studios. It essentially requires that all components in your system can talk to each other to assure that everything is an 'approved' component and not anything which would allow you
