I'd probably have the Beovision 3. It's smaller than the Avant but still has excellent picture and sound quality. It's also a lot cheaper than an Avant RF. You wouldn't have the build in DVD player of the Avant, but I'm not sure if this is of any importance to you. I think the sound is good enough for a modest sized bedroom and additional

I would buy a second-hand Beovision Avant 32 RF DVD, for the reasons mentioned in earlier posts. By the way, have you considered a second-hand Beovision 3 32 with a seperate DVD player? The design of the Beovision 3 is not a particular favourite of mine, but the picture and sound quality is very good and they are very good value for money.

The control head units are supplied by HarmanBecker (the site is in German). Harman Becker supply automotive systems to manufacturers like Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz and Porsche. I am not sure if fitting a center section of the Beosound Century would be a good idea in terms of ease of use. Also the materials of the Beosound and Audi dashboard probably

tom: Oh no! What the hell did that man intend to tell us with that cycle? Could it be: ride quality is not an issue, there is none at all...

You appear to be knowledgable about B&O and your posts have been helpful, positive and interesting but..... Why, oh why do you refer to Bang and Olufsen as Bang, and Beovisions as Bangvisions? You even mentioned a Bangcord

I bet this is

My take on all this: The company isn't losing money, but the shareholders lost nearly a third of theirs. Of course they wanted to see blood... Whether if it's any good for the company is something you can only tell in the long run. Sadly most shareholders don't want to wait that long, so Torben was sacked. It's sad, but hardly a surpise

As far as I know it will be called Beosound 5.

I am not a fan of the Beovision 3 in terms of looks. But there's no denying it has fantastic picture quality and represents excellent value for money compared to an Avant. I'd have one...
