Finally, B&O is back to white again. It looked really good back then on the Beosystem 5500/6500/7000 and the Beovision LX whiteline was always one of my favourites. Actually my parents still have one of those. When the Beovision 8 was introduced it took quite some time before I liked it. But in white it's the best looking TV they have to offer

I seem to develop a taste for movies with the word America(n) in the title. In my previous post I mentioned American Gangster and once upon a Time in America. Last night I watched TV and saw American History X. Perhaps not enjoyable in the traditional sense of the word, but a very impressive movie.

I agree with Moxxey, get a pair of Beolab 9's. If you want to keep the Beolab 8000's and add a sub than I would choose the Bowers & Wilkins PV1 as suggested by the rest. Amazing sub, really

Hello Jonathan, The good news is your equipment isn't broken. The bad news is you don't have a RIAA in you particular setup. The RIAA is a pre-amplifier you'll need in order to get sound out of the recordplayer. The RIAA is built in the Beomaster 5500 and the Beogram 5500 will work fine with it.
