The same muting switch is used in all the "lightweight" tangentials from the BG3000 onwards. Surely the Aussie dealers will supply this part by post??

Replacements are no longer available I'm afraid. Some success has been reported with a ring magnet placed over the centre spindle to increase the grip.

Easy job. The old one just slides off and the new one slides on. Be aware though, replacements are expensive!

Original units are still available and cost around £30. Talk to your dealer and he can order you one.

Hi Mark, Welcome to the forum My grandson has a MX5500 with PS2 working fine so yours should be similar. In the TV menu set the AV2 scart socket to VCR Now press VTAPE on the remote and your PS2 should be on screen. Let me know what happens

Possibly just the laser lens requires cleaning. I use a cotton wool bud damped in iso propanol.

With the BS3000 in standby. Try SOUND 1 STORE on the Link 5000 That should put it into option 1

The backup battery probably needs replacing. Suggest that you contact your local service agent.

Just slide them up about 20mm and lift them off.

The difference is that Leica chose a rather more upmarket electronics company to get into bed with. In my view, Samsung have always had a rather downmarket Dixons/Curry's image which B&O are finding it difficult to cover up.
