Hej, Jeg er ikke forhandler, men har samlet og repareret B&O i mange år. Martin

So one more deck rescued, well done ! Soundwise they shouldn't be all that different, they are completely identical machines apart from the color of the front panel buttons and the lettering on top. And I WILL find a leaf spring for the other deck. I haven't stopped looking. Martin

- Anyway, some of the money will be saved on central heating. A couple of capacitors on the main board looked a bit sorry for themselves. One had leaked it's contents onto the main board and, when dismounted, measured completely open circuit. New caps were mounted. A lot of measuring about didn't reveal anything amiss and a reason for an eventual

I haven't got a lot of experience when it comes to Tandberg or other tuners so cannot really compare. You can buy more complex and fancy built tuners but I doubt you will find one more stabile and generally well performing. BM8000's pull in lots of stations here even without an antenna. Now's a good chance to get that dusty-blue dial background plate cleaned too. It's supposed to be dusty-blue but not quite as dusty as this particular one. The blue capacitors on the amplifier boards were next. They were desoldered from the board and checked. A bit of a tricky thing to do now with the new dial string in place. It's path

Not a common lamp but in stock here. I suggest you replace both at the same time. The leads tend to break off where they enter the glass envelope and the unavoidable vibrations from servicing and replacing one lamp will no doubt break a lead off the other. Martin

You have an answer to your PM. Martin

Enig.
