There are two methods - one is to add a chip - this may well invalidate your warranty but is quite often done by dealers. The second way is to use the special BEO4 mentioned which transmits a special code. I have not seen one of these in action! Sounds like a safer option!

These develop faults in the control circuitary around the laser - if you are lucky, there is a fix involving replacing a capacitor - if not, you need a new laser asembly. Have a look at this thread which is most informative.

The AV9000 uses the same STB-C as the MX range - no longer listed but worth asking around for one - or getting one from an MX! I understand the BC2 now - I actually have one with my Avant DVD - I wish it was the later one with the audio feedback from the keys though. Having said that, I almost never use it directly - just as the link radio! Get the

Interesting set up - you have too much! You have correctly identified the issues - the main one being that the Beocenter 2 and Beosound 9000 will not like being in the same room. You could set the BS9000 to Option 4 though so that it will only respond when Link is pressed. I suggest forking out for the extra sky box and a STB-C, if you can find one

It wasn't that successful - B&O read Beoworld anyway! The advantage is that we get far fewer unhappy customers slagging off B&O because they know we are not B&O!

About £200 - 300 in good condition with a decent cartridge. Most however do not work properly! If you do get it, go and get it, DON'T GET IT POSTED!

U70s have a few issues - the most obvious is that the black vinyl degrades and falls off the ear pads. They are also, in my opinion, not very comfortable and the sound is OK without being brilliant.

It is actually Merceded Blue. More pictures here I think Frede actually sells Beogram 3000s at a very good price - these are expensive anywhere and even a plain Thorens TD124 attracts a high price. Frede has the Thorens repair franchise so you know you will get a good one.
